Men’s ministry is a mystery. We have examples in the Bible that show the men who stood up to pressure from community and government yet stood firm in their beliefs.
It seems today that Men in Ministry stand by rather that stand up!
Noah, when building the ark stood in the face of ridicule, yet not one man stepped up to challenge him to stop. All the discussion was from afar. In a way Noah was Ministering to the Men of this community by demonstrating his resolve to do what God had instructed him to do.
Moses faced the most powerful government at that time and conducted a lesson in Men’s Ministry, not only to the Israelites but also to the Egyptians as to what a man could do when fulfilling his calling to Minister to Men. Even Moses’ speech impediment would not stop him from being a Minister to Men.
David started out as a shepherd, musician and entertainer for Saul. He ended up as a fierce leader of men, not only Ministering to Men with actions but demonstrating the path to God’s heart.
Jesus stepped onto the scene and went into the arena that many of us “Christians” seem to stay away from, the community. And from this group He called the Men He was going to Minster too and charged them to take the message of His Father to the known world.
So, now what do we do with Men’s Ministry? Will you stand in the face of opposition from your community and miss the chance to Minister to those Men?
Will you use a handicap or shortcoming in your life as an excuse to not Minister to Men?
This battle has been set by God and His agenda, we are soldiers set to follow orders, He will direct us where and when to go and Minister to Men.
